Robert Thompson

DVM

Dr. Bob Thompson knew at a very young age that he wanted to become a veterinarian.  For more than 26 years, he has been practicing Veterinary Medicine in the Finger Lakes Region.  More than 20 years ago, he opened Lakeshore Animal Hospital.  With a focus on high quality, consistent and progressive care, Lakeshore Animal Hospital continues to grow.  With experience in a mixed animal practice in his early years, he has narrowed his focus to dogs and cats at Lakeshore Animal Hospital.  Lakeshore's high- quality care and personal attention are the underlying roots of the hospital's success. 

Dr. Bob has three children, Fiona, Declan and Robert.  Dr. Bob and his wife Amy live in Mendon with their son Robert, their dog Dooley, and two cats;  Aldo and Olivia.  He and his wife are very passionate about travel, friends and family.  In his spare time, Dr. Bob enjoys many outdoor activities, including hiking, fishing & kayaking.



Chuck

LVT

Chuck is excited to join the Lakeshore Animal Hospital team as he passionately furthers his career in the veterinary medicine field. Chuck believes in his heart that he is doing the job that God put him on this green Earth to do.

Chuck graduated from SUNY Canton in May 1982 with an AAS degree in Veterinary Science Technology. Chuck also graduated from SUNY Excelsior in May 1991 with a BS in Biology and a minor in Psychology. Chuck is an AALAS certified Laboratory Animal Technologist and is also a Fear Free Certified LVT. 

Chuck has had the good fortune of developing and maintaining many cherished human and 4 legged relationships over his 36+ year career in the veterinary medicine field. 

Chuck loves and values his family immensely. Chuck has 4 siblings: Chris, Cate, Jim, and Anne. Chuck is married to his best friend and love of his life, Lori, and they have have 3 children: Courtaney, Pat, and Matt. Chuck fell in love at first sight and has had his heart stolen by his 2 granddaughters: Lilly and Mae. Chuck and Lori share their household with 3 dogs: Skip, Mabel, Barkley; 4 cats: Webster, Kittywampus, Orange, Chester: and a pot belly pig named Eleanor Pigby.

Chuck values family time, enjoys boating and spending time on Owasco Lake with his family and friends. Chuck enjoys motorcycling, fishing, hunting, and running in an occasional 5K road race. 


Kim

Reception

Kim started working at Lakeshore Animal Hospital as a Receptionist in March, 2018.  Kim has been working in the Retail Management and Customer Service field for over 25 years.  Kim and her family have recently moved to the Finger Lakes area from Rochester, NY.  Kim, her husband Tim and her 13 year old son, Jonathan, are looking forward to a fulfilling life as they enjoy family time together and all the outdoor activities the Finger Lakes area has to offer.  Such as walks around the lakes, kayaking and wine tasting.  

Kim is excited to start her new career working with cats and dogs in the veterinary setting.  She has several pets of her own.  Two cats; Berry and Zakrom, a dog Gizmo and a Russian Tortoise named Crush.  


Dooley

When not at work being our hospital mascot, Dooley enjoys spending time exploring with Dr. Bob.  He's at his happiest when he is on a hunt!
